on Domestic Violence Inc. |
The NE GA Council
on Domestic Violence, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation,
was established in 1995 to serve Hart, Franklin, and Elbert
counties. It has a voluntary Board of Directors comprised
of citizens from the three service areas. The Council accepts
donations of household items, clothing, volunteer hours, and
money.
In August 2001, Heart Haven, the emergency shelter was completed
and began serving battered women and their dependent children.
Heart Haven can accommodate eight women and children.
